Play Tennis

Homeschool Tennis Players of all levels are welcome to participate in this eight-week session at the Mountain View gym and courts. We’ll teach beginners the basics of the game and introduce them to friendly match play. Intermediate and advanced level players will improve their strokes and learn advanced shots and match play. $45/session. Parents welcome to participate with volunteer/release form. Equipment is provided. Enrollment is still open. Blue Heron students can take bus 202 to Mountain View.

Grades K-3 students are invited to YMCA Quickstart Tennis on Wednesdays from 1:30-2:30 pm. $40/session.

YMCA Quickstart Tennis Lessons   Grades K -3

QuickStart Beginning Tennis – Instructor Julie Jablonski teaches this class on Wednesdays from 1:30-2:30 pm, at the Mt. View tennis courts and gym starting December 2, ending February 3. (12/2, 12/9/, 12/16, 1/6 – 2/3)Learn tennis and develop hand-eye coordination and other basic athletic skills. Highlights include short court tennis, dynamic stretching, and games that everyone can do. All sessions are taught on a 36’ court with foam balls to ensure success. All equipment provided.  Players must wear non-marking shoes.  After tennis, YMCA staff provide fun activities until 3:30 when all participants must be picked up by their parents. Grant Street students may ride bus #202 from school to Mt. View (with written permission from a parent).  Fee: $40.00 (High school and/or parent volunteers needed.)
